About Us

Jay’s McDonald has had a passion for baking ever since he was a kid. Jay baked for fun throughout high school and earned an undergrad degree in art history at the University of Guelph before realizing where he should be focusing all her creative energy: cupcakes.

From there on, he trained in baking and pastry at George Brown College and worked in bakeries across Toronto, all in preparation to take the leap and move back to his hometown to open Bell Bakery in 2021. Since then, Belle Bakery has been producing Mississauga’s best cupcakes and providing people-first customer service.

While cupcakes were Jay’s first baking love, as demand grew for custom cakes, Jay developed the cake decorating skills to keep up. He personally designs and crafts each cake by hand, bringing his unique buttercream skills to every creation.
